With continually evolving hardware and software products, the skill sets required to service and support these products are becoming even more advanced. CGI has recognized these facts and has continued to upgrade our staff's level of training.

Our personnel:

have a solid understanding of microcomputer hardware and software, including Intel(80XXX), Pentium, Xeon, AMD and Motorola (680XX) microprocessors, memory schema extended vs.expanded, most popular PC platform busses, how mass storage devices interface, how the internal operation of disk controllers and drivers affect a file server environment.

have a solid understanding of various peripherals, types and brands, their internal functionality and network interfacing techniques.

have knowledge of the communications aspects of a system's operation, from 3270/5250 communications (typically coaxial) and emulation for gateway implementation, to twisted pair wiring codes, and toning and ringing out appropriate pairs to a 66 punch down block to facilitate centralized wiring closet installations such as 10-BaseT and 100-BaseT Ethernet and AppleTalk.

have extensive knowledge of various operating systems (e.g., all versions of MS/DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 9X/200X/XP, OS/2, Macintosh, Unix/Xenix, Linux).

have knowledge of various networking technologies (e.g., Arcnet, Ethernet, Token Ring) and are experienced in the generation and installation of the various network operating systems

have expertise and certification in all versions of Novell Netware, Windows 2000/2003 and SCO Unix/Xenix, and are experienced with Lantastic, Banyan Vines, Appletalk, LanManager Windows NT and Windows for Workgroups.

have a working knowledge of the most often used multi-user software packages and databases (e.g., Microsoft Office 97/98/2000/2003, Lotus SmartSuite, Word Perfect, SQL, FoxPro, Dbase IV, Paradox, Access).

have extensive experience with the Internet and World Wide Web.
